After 16 years of driving the same old car, my 1999 Acura was slightly damaged when our middle son got in a minor fender bender. Well, it was at least minor for the other car and no one was physically injured but my car took the brunt of the contact when the front end met the tow hitch of an SUV.

We decided it was time to get a replacement car for me – one I would no longer have to share with one of our boys.

Despite many years in the car industry, what I drove never really mattered much to me as long as the car worked. I did enjoy my Acura for its little luxuries and because it seemed so perfectly suited to me. I didn’t miss having a navigation system (thank you, cell phone) or all the other new-fangled doodads that were on more current vehicles.

I like to think that the 3.2L V6 engine didn’t really matter much to me but when we went shopping for my new car, I tended to drift towards ones that had at least the same pick up and go as the Acura.

And then I fell in love.

I’d been thinking I wanted a white car (see what mattered most to me?) but when I saw a shiny, gray 2013 Infiniti G37 with low miles advertised at a good price at a nearby dealer, I couldn’t resist checking it out.

Although I had a list of about 10 cars I wanted to check out, the minute I drove the G37 I knew I was done shopping.

Something strange happened as soon as I drove that car home. I wanted to baby it like never before.

I spent hours online looking for just the right license plate frame. I’d never before even considered buying a plate frame other than for my husband as a gift – never for myself.

But all the chrome on my G37 just demanded one and I wanted it to be perfect.

I would have gone for rhinestones and bling and I’m sure it would have looked amazing but that’s not really my style and I didn’t think hubby would appreciate it should he ever borrow the car.

When I found a twisted chrome plate by Cruiser and matched it up with jeweled, anti-theft screw caps by The Friendly Swede, I had just the look I was after.

Those hours spent shopping for just the right plate frame, though, led me to want to create a single resource where everyone could find the perfect frame for themselves.

And here you are – at Frame Sweet.
